The collection of Armenian drawings of NGA has been formed with the establishment of the museum in 1921, and in being enriched up to day due to donations and purchases.
Nowadays the collection includes more than 400 items.
Graofhical works by famous armenian painters of XIX-XX centuries such as H.Ajvazovsky, V. Surenyants, E. Fetfajyan, A. Gorky, Kh.Der-Harutyan, G. Khanjyan, E.Issabekyan, M. Avetisyan and others who have worked in Armenia and abroad, are presented in it.
As for as the easel and printed graphical works are sensitive to the sunlight, humidity and the temperature regime, as a rule they are not included in the permanent exhibits of the museum. The collection of graphics of NGA is being displayed periodically by means of temporal, thematic exhibitions in a hall with special light and temperature regime of the VI floor.
