The life experience and merit of People's Artist of Armenia Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatos) are vividly expressed in his creative activity of many years. The artist has had numerous group and solo exhibitions both in homeland and abroad, and his art has been highly appreciated everywhere. The exhibition dedicated to the artist’s 85th birth anniversary includes landscapes, still lifes, portraits of women and abstract images brushed in different years. His works vividly express the inseparable connection with nature and the aspiration for interpretation of the outside world in own way. Sincerity, the bright, free and unconstrained selection of colours are inherent in his art, which can be viewed in harmony mostly in compositional works. The form and content, the idea and feelings are merged by clear brushstrokes in his abstract works done in painterly manner. The artist has painted a colourful, impressive world of unreal things and called them "Compositions", thus giving the viewers the opportunity to discover and title in their own way what they view and imagine. The portraits depict mainly female figures, in which Tadevosyan has conveyed their spiritual and sensual world, sometimes mild and philosophical and sometimes crazy and excitedThe entire creative legacy of the artist features the close relationship between man and nature, filled with the sense of kindness, vitality and optimism. Hrant Tadevosyan is a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia, the International Association of Art and the Union of Professional Artists (UNESCO).
