More than 3000 items from Armenia, Old Egypt, Antique Greece, China, Japan, Iran, Italy, France, Germany, England, Russia form the collection of Decorative-Applied Arts of the NGA.

There are the creations of well-known and unknown masters, manufactures and works. The formation of this collection started from 1920-s due to exchanges and donations from the museums and museum funds in Moscow and Leningrad as well as from the Governmental comities of Armenia.

A considerable part of this collection form the donations from private collections e.g.V. Vahanyan (Tbilisi). V. Barakyan (Rumania) and others, both armenians and foreigners.

In this collection there are porcelain and faience sets, statuette mirrors, candlesticks; glass made cups and glasses; silver belts, belt-buckles, adornments and domestic subjects; carpets embroidery; bronze candlesticks; furniture and other subjects of museum interest.
