Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Germany visited to National Gallery of Armenia

 Today, on July 31 the director of the National Gallery of Armenia Mr. Arman Tsaturyan welcomed the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Mr. Matthias Kiesler, the executive of the Cultural Department of the Embassy Mrs. Kuhlmann and the president of the Fund “Cultural Dialogues” Sona Harutiunyan.Mr. Kiesler congratulated Arman Tsaturyan for his post of the NGA’s director and noted that the first place he visited after coming to Armenia was exactly the National Gallery. Guests were really impressed by the architecture of the NGA’s building and cultural values preserved there.
“If there weren’t such artists and such artworks we would not have this “Temple” and would have nothing to exhibit”, Arman Tsaturyan noticed. Then he added that the National Gallery will stand among the world’s best museums thanks to cooperation, events and the huge work being done. Mr. Tsaturyan considered German exchange information programs and cultural, scientific, research and restoration work very important. During the meeting they also talked about the exhibition to be organized by support of Moritzburg Fund, which will includ about 160 photos. The guests noted that the following exhibition could be properly organized exactly in the halls of the NGA. The exhibition is planned to be open in the midst of September and will last six months. The guests together with Mr. Tsaturyan went round the halls and discussed a number of matters related to the following exhibition and the further cooperation. At the end of the meeting Mr. Tsaturyan presented guests catalogues compiled and published by the NGA. Mr. Tsaturyan and the guests were convinced that such meetings would be continued.
